The University of Montana in Missoula, MT is the flagship university of the Montana University system. The University of Montana was founded in 1893 at the foot of 5,158-feet-tall Mount Sentinel. The university’s study-hard, play-hard ethos has earned the school and its town a reputation as a “Rocky Mountain Berkeley.”
Student enrollment as of Fall Semester 2012 was 14,943, which includes the local University of Montana campus and the Missoula College of Technology.
