On Tuesday, May 8, MCT will present an adapted performance of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. A cherished project, this is MCT’s 7th annual adapted performance for people on the autism spectrum. Adapting a show entails shortening the running time, modifying the lighting, and reducing jarring sounds. Director Joseph Martinez will spend a few minutes before the show talking to the audience and introducing everyone to the musicians and instruments in the orchestra.
To enhance the experience of the adapted audience, the lobby will contain a “cozy corner” with pillows, books, and blankets. We encourage patrons to step out of the auditorium if they need to take a break. Doors will open at 5:45 PM, and the show starts at 6:30 PM.
Tickets are only available at the MCT box office or by calling 728-PLAY (7529).
