Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ popular Becoming an Outdoors-Woman summer workshop is set for Aug. 7-9 at Lubrecht Forest, east of Missoula.
Registration is now open and women are encouraged to sign up with a friend to learn a new activity or improve existing skills.
Participants choose four classes from a variety of topics including basic gun handling, rifle and shotgun training, fishing, map and compass reading, kayaking, butterfly and bird identification, outdoor survival, using a GoPro camera and more. Anyone 18 years of age or older may participate. The fee ranges between $170 – $290 and includes class instruction, meals and lodging.
Women who hope to attend this year’s workshop should register now to reserve their place and classes.
