The 19th annual “Great Griz Encounter,” a meet-and-greet event of the University of Montana’s 2014 football team and once again sponsored by the Providence St. Patrick Hospital, will take place on Thursday, August 21, downtown in Caras Park.
The event is held in conjunction with the Missoula Downtown Association’s weekly “Downtown Tonight” function. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with live music by Tom Catmull’s Radio Static band.
The 2014 Griz football team will be featured at the annual gathering. Montana’s 2014 All-American and Honors Candidates, and Griz Head Coach Mick Delaney, will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. After that, all of the Griz players will sign posters until around8:30 p.m.
Due to the large amount of fans wishing to get autographs, there is a two-item limit.
Licensed vendors will also be on hand selling Grizzly merchandise and apparel, including the official T-shirt for the “White Out” game on Sept. 13, when Montana plays South Dakota.
