“Festival of the Dead is an all-inclusive, annual multicultural event that honors life and death through community involvement in the arts”
*****
Celebrate Missoula’s Festival of the Dead by transforming into a sugar skull to walk or spectate at the Festival of the Dead Parade. Come to the Zootown Arts Community Center (ZACC), Missoula’s only community art center, this Saturday, November 2nd, to learn the art of traditional Dia de los Muertos face-painting.
This workshop is generously sponsored by Hospice of Missoula celebrates traditional Mexican art and culture, while remembering loved ones who have passed. This workshop is free, but your donations are greatly appreciated.
Drop in anytime between 2 and 5 with your friends, family, kids, and community to the ZACC, located next to the Northside Kettlehouse, 235 North 1st Street West. Before and after your face painting transformation enjoy making bouquets of crepe paper marigolds, a perfect adornment to any Festival of the Dead outfit. We will have fun getting ready and then head to the parade together.
If you have any questions please contact the ZACC at 406.549.7555. We look forward to seeing you before and at the Parade!
The ZACC so proud to again offer workshops celebrating Missoula’s Festival of the Dead., but you still need to call ahead and register!
