Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula Springs a Water Leak and Closes Temporarily

Microbrew pub in restored building, in Downtown Missoula, sustained major water damage in October and will close for repair and remodel.

On the weekend of October 6, 2012, the Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula and Sapore building experienced a plumbing failure on the second floor of their building on Higgins in downtown Missoula.

By the time the leak was discovered, extensive damage occurred throughout the building. The pubhouse and restaurant have been closed since the accident.

Carla Mancini and partner Sandy Clare, owners of both the Pubhouse and Sapore, say the building will remain closed until repairs and a significant remodel is completed. The owners have decided during this time of change to make another one.

When they reopen the building, both the Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula and Sapore will have merged into one entity.

The whole building will soon just be known as the Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula. In addition to two floors of incredible dining, the owners will also unveil The Imperial Lounge, on the third floor.

So there is good news for all of the past patrons of FLBC of Missoula and Sapore, even with this temporary bump in the road.

With obvious care and attention to detail, FLBC of Missoula will reopen with a modern, inviting atmosphere that still nods to the historic past of both downtown Missoula and the building.

All floors will feature award winning beers from Flathead Lake Brewing Company, located in Bigfork, Montana, as well as other noteworthy Montana ale favorites. For those wine patrons a handpicked wine list will still be available as well. Patrons should also get excited about new ale menus being developed right now.

The owners and crew of the Flathead Lake Brewing Company of Missoula want to thank the community for their patience and are doing everything to get their doors open as soon as possible. Please look to their Facebook page for daily progress reports.

FLBC of Missoula is located at 424 Higgins Avenue, next to Charlie B’s, and across the street from Wordens.
