Get your “Sunday Morning Fever” burning and groove your spirit on over to the MCT Center for the Performing Arts! The Missoula Community Theatre is holding an open audition on Sunday, August 26 for Sister Act. The audition will take place from 12:30-6:00 PM. Please use the Main Street entrance and go to the third floor.
Sister Act is a Tony-nominated musical comedy based on the 1992 film and features an original score by Oscar winner Alan Menken.
The audition is open to performers age 16 and up. Director Michael McGill will cast a total of approximately 25 women and men. Strong singers and movers are encouraged to audition.
There are several roles for mature men and women. Some of the roles to be cast include the flamboyant Deloris Van Cartier; the steadfast Mother Superior, and the spunky Sister Mary Robert, as well as Monsignor O’Hara, the menacing Vince LaRocca, and his gangster crew.
No advance preparation is required to audition. Call-backs will take place the same evening. McGill expects that rehearsals will be weeknights from 7-10:30 PM. The performances of Sister Act will be Oct. 25-Nov. 4, 2018.
