Missoula’s outdoor waterpark, Splash Montana, will open for its 11th season on Saturday, June 4. The facility will be open Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will begin daily operation on Saturday, June 11. Splash Montana’s summer hours, beginning June 11, are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. For weather closure information, phone 542-WAVE (9283.) Three water slides, a lazy river, the children’s water playground plus the Crazy Creek Café and Fireline Grill make Splash Montana an all-day destination for families.
The Lake 50-meter pool has eight competition/lap lanes and features competitive swimming, lap swimming, swim lessons, a swim-a-thon and more. Splash Montana also offers High School Fitness Swim on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., beginning June 21.
Both Splash Montana and Currents Aquatics Center are fully ADA-compliant and have a wheelchair lift and water wheelchair. Certified lifeguards, shaded lounge chairs and full-service locker rooms make Splash Montana a safe and fun option for those seeking to cool off and stay active this summer.
Two party cabanas are available for rent and full birthday party menus are available. Splash Montana offers group rates during regular hours, and the facility is available for after-hours rentals.
Splash Montana also offers Learn to Swim classes for ages 6 months to 14 years, beginning June 13. Currents Aquatics Center in McCormick Park will continue to offer swim lessons for infants, toddlers, youth and adults and adult fitness classes (with evening and weekend options), plus recreational swim and lap swim. Admission at Splash Montana is $3 for youth ages 2 to 6, $4.00 for youth ages 7 to 11, $4.50 for ages 12 to 17 and seniors ages 58 and up, and $6.25 for adults. City residents may purchase a Resident Discount Card to qualify for a 20 percent discount on admission. Annual and seasonal passes and punch cards offer additional savings between 25 and 55 percent. Share The Fun Youth Recreation Grants are available for families who need financial assistance.
