Northern Rockies Physical Therapy (NRPT) is proud to announce Sentinel High School Graduate, Sydney Pasternak, as the 2015 Northern Rockies Physical Therapy Scholarship recipient.
As a local business, NRPT understands the importance of giving back to the community. With many graduates, including Pasternak, planning to pursue higher education this fall, Northern Rockies Physical Therapy provides a $1,000 scholarship to one outstanding student through its scholarship program
As an advocate for higher education, the Northern Rockies Physical Therapy Scholarship Program has been established to award a local incoming college freshman with two semesters of financial support. Its scholarship program was established to recognize and award an individual’s academic excellence, leadership, and service.
Supporting Missoula’s future leaders is just one way Northern Rockies Physical Therapy gives back to our community.
Pasternak, who, after her sports ambitions were put on hold by a back injury, joined and flourished in other extracurricular activities, such as drama, her church youth group, and art classes. As great leaders do, Pasternak adapted to her circumstances and made the best of her situation. Pasternak states that these experiences “changed who [she] was in the best way possible.”
Northern Rockies Physical Therapy is proud that its scholarship will support Pasternak as she attends the University of Montana to study Biology and Spanish. She would eventually like to teach.
“I know that my passion is for people,” Pasternak wrote in her application for the NRPT scholarship. “Hearing a person’s story and seeing them smile is my reminder of my passion.”
