The University of Montana Chamber Chorale — a 2015 NAfME Northwest Honor Performing Choir — presents a concert event highlighting music life, love and loss all centered around the metaphor of water and it’s central importance to our being. Featured works include music by Whitacre, Monteverdi, and Elgar and are juxtaposed with the lush poetic imagery of Sara Teasdale.

SpringArtFairWebslide-lg2015 UC Spring Art Fair (SPECIAL EVENT) at the University of Montana
Description: For the spring season, all the celebration will be taking place at the annual University Center Spring Art Fair. The Art Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Apr. 16-17, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 18, in the UC Atrium. The art fair will feature unique art, jewelry, clothing, ceramics and more, all of which has been handcrafted by local and regional artists. Many artists are veterans to this art fair, and have attended this event faithfully for over 10 years. Along with a prize raffle, the fair also will showcase live music performed by UM students and Montana natives, including longtime favorite Stephanie Quist. The event is free and open to the public.

The longest running art fair in western Montana (going on over 40 years consecutively), the Homecoming Art Fair is one of three student-coordinated art fairs planned annually by the UC. Proceeds from the art fairs provide funding for myriad student-focused programs planned by UC Student Involvement.

2015 UM World Rhythms Concert (MISC) at the University of Montana’s Dennison Theater

Description: The 2015 World Rhythms Concert will feature West African Master Drummer/Dancer Edi Gbordzi with the UM West African Ensemble and Dancers performing a variety of traditional songs and dance pieces from Ghana, West Africa.
