DIRECTV Partners with Easter Seals-Goodwill to Collect Donations and Electronic Waste

What: Donations and some electronic waste will be collected via the Goodwill truck at the DIRECTV Customer Care Center

When: Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Where: DIRECTV Customer Care Center parking lot located at 4900 Technology Court, Missoula, Mont. 59808

Why: DIRECTV is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations and its customers. On March 28 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., DIRECTV will partner with Easter Seals-Goodwill to accept donations and collect non-hazardous electronic waste from individuals within the Missoula community.

Acceptable items include all donations the Goodwill retail store accepts at their Reserve Street location. In addition, during this event only, outdated DIRECTV systems (satellite dishes, cables, and outdated equipment), TVs, computer monitors, DVD players, VCRs, phones, faxes, printers, and microwave ovens can be recycled.

Some items will not be accepted during the event, including electronic waste from businesses, large quantities of electronic waste from individuals, donations of items that have been recalled, banned, or do not meet current safety standards, and anything else that Goodwill does not currently accept, such as batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, aerosol cans, solid wastes, hazardous materials, paints, adhesives, cleaning, or flammable products.
