The University of Montana’s Jordan Gregory has been selected as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball “Co-Player of the Week,” announced the league today (Monday, Feb. 16, 2015). He shared the award with Montana State’s Eric Norman.
Gregory, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from Pueblo, Colo., averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as the Grizzlies beat North Dakota and Northern Colorado. Gregory was 14-of-14 from the free-throw line in the two games.
Gregory scored 20 points with six rebounds and three assists in UM’s 65-61 win at UND. He had 20 points with six assists, five rebounds and a block in an 83-81 three-overtime win at UNC. He made the game-winning free throws with 2.2 seconds left in the third overtime.
Gregory is ranked fourth in the conference and leads the Grizzlies in scoring, averaging 16.8 points a game. He has scored 20 or more points in 10 games this season. His 1,075 career points rank him 20th in school history. This is Gregory’s first Player of the Week honor.
Norman, a 6-foot-9 senior forward from San Diego, Calif., averaged 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds as MSU defeated UND and UNC on the road. In an 80-78 win over UND, he scored a career-high 22 points with 12 rebounds for his first career double-double. This is Norman’s first career Player of the Week selection.
