The University of Montana’s Jordan Gregory has been named to the College Sports Information Director’s of America (Co-SIDA) Capital One Academic All-District NCAA Division 1 basketball team, announced today (Thursday, Jan. 30) by Co-SIDA.
A 6-2 junior guard from Pueblo, Colo., Gregory maintains a 3.69 GPA, and is a psychology major. Since he was named first team to the District 7 first team he will advance to the national ballot for a chance to be selected to the Capital One Academic All-American team.
Gregory is Montana’s second leading scorer, averaging 14.8 points a game, which ranks him seventh (tie) in the Big Sky Conference. He’s third in the league in free throw percentage at 87.1%, and ranked 40th in the nation in that category.
He is also ranked in the Big Sky in three-point shots made per game (tied for third with 2.4 ppg); 13th in three-point field goal percentage (13th at 40.2%); and in field goal percentage (tied for 14th at 47.0%). He has scored in double figures in 14 of 17 games so far this season.
District 7 includes players from the states of Colorado, Idaho Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming.
