Requirements include a driver’s license, high school diploma with a bachelor’s degree preferred, at least one year of experience working with at-risk youth, and significant back-country experience. This employee must be in good general physical and mental health, able to remain calm in stressful situations, self-motivated and able to work independently, able to work long hours in extremely cold and hot temperatures and hike with a 70- pound pack, and ability to use a GPS system and navigate with a map and compass.
