5K/1 mile Fun Run/Walk • 2 p.m.
Join Missoula Parks & Recreation and Missoula City-County Animal Control for the 2nd annual Missoula celebration for your four-legged buddy on Sunday, May 5, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at McCormick Park. The free Doggie Dash Expo features dog walkers, sitters, groomers, boarders, retailers, veterinarians and much more. Dogs and their owners can sign up for a 1-mile or 5k fun run/walk, both races start at 2 p.m.
The Expo is free, but pre-registration is required for the 1-mile or 5k fun runs. Race participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and a bandana for their four-legged pal. Proceeds from the event benefit Missoula City-County Animal Control. Donations at the Expo are gratefully accepted.
Register for the fun runs at www.active.com, at Currents Aquatics Center in McCormick Park, or by phoning 721-PARK through Thursday, May 2, at 8 p.m.. The race registration fee is $25. Race-day registration is available on Sunday, May 5, from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.; race-day registration is $30.
