Brynn Molloy Named Assistant AD at UM

Brynn Molloy has been selected as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Community Relations at the University of Montana, announced UM Athletic Director Kent Haslam.

Molloy has worked at UM for the past eight years.  The previous seven years she has been the assistant director of UM’s Grizzly Scholarship Association, starting that position in May of 2006.

“I am incredibly excited, honored and humbled to be in this position,” Molloy said.  “I look forward to the work ahead and can’t wait to hit the ground running.  Griz Nation is pretty special, and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work here.”

While with the GSA, she oversaw all special event fund-raising events, was the Director of the Grizzly M Club, oversaw marketing, graphic design and social media for the GSA and M Club, and worked with the GSA’s board of directors and GSA members to help meet annual financial scholarship goals.

Molloy Named Assistant AD for Marketing and Community RelationsShe began working for Grizzly Athletics in September of 2005, when she was an administrative assistant for UM’s Senior Women’s Athletic Director and Olympic Sports.

A native of Billings, she and her family moved to Missoula in 1997.  She graduated from local Hellgate High School in 2001.

Molloy graduated with a B.A. degree in political science from UM, with an emphasis on public law, in 2005.

While attending UM she was a student manager at the Griz Card Center, served as a UM Advocate, was a marketing intern for Grizzly Athletics in 2004-05, and represented the University at the Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference in 2005.

She earned a Master of Education degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership at the University of Washington in 2008.  She has returned to UW as a guest lecturer in Andy Geiger’s class (former athletic director at Stanford and The Ohio State) every summer since graduation.

In her new position, Molloy will oversee marketing and in-game entertainment for all Grizzly sports.  The new aspect that was added to the marketing position was Community Relations, as   Brynn will also work closely with UM’s academic endeavors to enhance and promote community involvement and promote the many great things that Griz student-athletes are doing.
