It’s fall—time for hayrides, apple cider and old-fashioned harvest celebrations. The folks at Missoula Parks and Recreation have cooked up some traditional fall fun and are inviting kids and their families to the 13th Annual Fall Family Fest and Kaboom! Play Day on October 20 at McCormick Park, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Fall Family Fest is great fun for the whole family and includes hayrides, a great pumpkin hunt, crafts for all ages, s’mores, face painting, sack races, a cake walk, parachute and cooperative games, cider pressing, live music with local musician Tom Catmull and much more.
As a nationally recognized “Playful City USA,” Missoula celebrates Kaboom! Play Day as part of Fall Family Fest to help build awareness for the importance of play and strengthen our community. The suggested donation is $1 per person, and proceeds benefit “Share The Fun” Youth Recreation Grants.
Call Parks and Recreation at 721-PARK or visit www.missoulaparks.org for more information. The festival is sponsored by Missoula Parks and Recreation, U104.5 and Montana Radio Company, Make It Missoula, Missoula Urban Demonstration Project, REI, Caras Nursery, Just Poppin’ Kettle Corn, Triple W Equipment, Tom Catmull, Kaboom.org and many other generous local businesses and organizations.
