This week Zoo Town Surfers and Strongwater will host the 2012 Montana Whitewater Championship presented by First Interstate Bank and Community Medical Center.
The nation’s best freestyle paddlers will convene at Brennan’s Wave this Wednesday and Thursday to throw down for some cash and bragging rights on the 2012 point series tours.
The tour is associated with USA Freestyle Kayaking the governing body for the sport of freestyle kayaking in the USA, affiliated with US Canoe & Kayak (USACK). USAFK’s mission is to promote the sport of freestyle kayaking through education and competition throughout the United States.

Come down and watch kayakers throw the biggest tricks in the book like Tricky Woo’s, McNasties, Loops, Blunts, Splitwheels, Space Godzilla’s and Lunar Orbits.
The event will also coincide with the Missoula Downtown Associations Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight. Here is a tentative schedule of events:
Tuesday 26th: 7pm Registration/Athlete Meeting at Strongwater Paddlesports
Wednesday 27th: 9am -5pm (approx.)… Freestyle Prelims at Brennan’s wave
Thursday 28th: 11am-8pm (approx.)… Freestyle Semi-Finals/Awards Ceremony
