Right now in Missoula it is a frenzy of fitness as we are ready to celebrate the Missoula Marathon (the 2011 Montana Tourism Event of the Year). This is great for bandwagon jumpers like me to pretend I’m more athletic than I am.
I’m not sure my occasional run/walk with the dogs, weekly soccer game, sporadic yoga classes and watching the Biggest Loser while snacking on edamame qualify me to call myself athletic and I’d really hate to have to put my money where my mouth is and actually break a sweat on a regular basis.
But in the spirit of community I will be decked out in my Brooks running gear this weekend while I hit the Farmers Markets and walk the dogs on the Kim Williams Trail.
If you are one of the many affected by general laziness, gym phobia, running anxiety or what have you there is a company in Missoula that can inspire even ME to get a regular workout in. Amazingly enough Flexsolate has fitness in the bag — that is, it truly is a gym in a bag!
Seriously, I love this concept. And Kim from Biggest Loser actually works with this Missoula-based company so we know it’s legit! If you want to work out in your own home or if you travel often this is a great, and small, piece of equipment.
Flexsolate incorporates the science of human kinetic principal. And while I don’t really know what that means, I DO know that you can replicate just about any gym machine exercise with these over sized stretchy rubber bands. It’s EASY! And if you are hardcore enough to actually exercise regularly, the Flexsolate set-up is limitless for your workout needs.
One of the many cool things about Missoula is seeing our town gain fame and recognition for supporting healthy lifestyles and families. And that is a good thing because we know most of us need to work off all that tasty beer we consume on a regular basis! The gym in a bag is a really cool concept and make keeping fit handy and afforable!
