The City of Missoula Parks & Recreation Department serves residents with well-maintained parks and trails—an abundance of open space with features to accommodate all types of sports, as well as picnicking and hiking.

If you’re ready to participate in a recreation league, lace up your cleats, grab your glove, and hit the field, court, or rink. Missoula Parks and Recreation Sports offers Missoulians the chance to compete in leagues of all ages and skill level in sports including basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and football. Check out the current Missoula Parks and Recreation Guide (PDF).

Like the water? Splash Montana, and Currents Indoor Water Park give Missoulians a chance to cool off and have a blast with water slides, children’s activities, lap lanes, current rivers, and more.  Be sure to ask around about Inner Tube Water Polo—it is quickly becoming a popular local water sport.

Skaters in town flock to MoBASH Skate Park, a 15,000 sq. foot world-class skating facility who’s grand opening featured none other than skating superstar Tony Hawk.

City Parks & Recreation also offers a wide range of summer day camps for children age 6 – 14.

For information about all Parks & Rec offerings, check out the Recreation Guide and register for programs.
